We’re set in Bournemouth on the south coast of the UK. Our town is one the UK’s most beautiful award-winning natural locations; boasting spectacular gardens, beaches, forests and a Jurassic coastline classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site.

The AUB Summer Experience

All our Summer Courses have been specially designed to help you develop your art and design skills in a wide range of disciplines.

Our courses give you the opportunity to develop and hone your skills so you’re ready to produce your portfolio, with the aim of giving you the very best possible chance at succeeding with the next step in your creative journey.

You’ll be taught in AUB’s industry-standard studios and workshops, with unrestricted access to professional equipment, resources, and digital software.

Plus, you’ll be guided by our team of creative specialists – all experts in their fields – and receive professional feedback. You’ll collaborate with students from around the world and boost your future study and career prospects.

Most importantly, you’ll be part of AUB’s Creative Community, as our Summer Courses give you the unique chance to experience life as an AUB student.

2-week Creative Arts Summer School

This exciting hands-on course for students aged 13–15 gives you the chance to develop your creative talents and experiment with a wide range of art and design disciplines to find your creative voice, whilst also developing vital life skills.

2-week Specialist Art, Design, and Media Courses

Our specialist courses for students aged 15+ give you the chance to develop your skills and learn new ones so you can become an expert in your chosen creative field and demonstrate it in your portfolio. We offer specialist courses in creative make-up, graphic design and visual communication, drawing and illustration, studio fashion photography, modelmaking and fashion design, styling and textiles.

3-week Portfolio Preparation Courses

Our portfolio preparation courses for students aged 15+ are designed to best prepare you for future success and creative study. You’ll hone your skills and develop your portfolio so you’re ready to take the next step in your creative journey. We offer portfolio preparation courses in art and design, filmmaking, animation production and architecture.

Residential Package – experience life as an AUB student

When you book your course, you have the chance to add our residential package to your booking. This is a very popular option as it gives you the chance to live on our campus in Halls of Residence and experience life as a full-time AUB student.

Our Summer Course students love this option as it gives them the chance to try out university life before committing to a full-time foundation or degree course.

Every year we’re delighted to offer many of our summer students places on our full-time foundation and degree courses.

Whilst studying on a Summer Course at AUB you’ll have the opportunity to attend a pre-application interview session for any of AUB’s full-time courses.
